Training Ride #5

o I drove out to Kittatiny Valley State Park in Andover. I found a nice loop on the NJDOT website called the Allamuchy Allegory Ride. You can see the loop here. It's a very scenic 42-mile loop with rolling hills, lots of farms, some decent climbing, and views of tons of mountains. Today was rather windy and cold, but I very much enjoyed the ride. I ended up clocking 44 miles total, which is great. Took a bit less than 5 hours total. Here are a few pics that I took along the way. All pics were taken by my phone, as were all the pics previous to today's, and the zoom wasn't working for some reason.

Lots of open fields, followed by rows of trees, followed by mountains. This is how a lot of the ride looked.

Neat little tunnel. There was a second one later on in the ride, but I didn't take another picture.

That brown bull was layin' down as I rode up. I think he stood up to protect all his lady friends layin' on the side there.

This road was intimidating, especially when you turn onto it from Hope Road.

This house was awesome. As I rode by it, I noticed the front of it was totally blocked by a huge rock. I wish my zoom was working.
