Introduction

So everyone on here seems to give an introduction and information about their ride and what not, so here goes.

I'm Bryan, a recently college graduated, 25 year old from Northern New Jersey.

I grew up riding a bmx bike as my main mode of transportation, until I turned 17, of course. Then it was used much more sparingly, like the time me and one of my best friends, Mike, decided to ride our bikes to the Garden State Plaza. What should have been a simple 50-mile round trip bike ride, turned into a much bigger ordeal. We got pulled over by a cop, who made us "let" him take us off the highway and drop us off in the middle of nowhere. Apparently you're not allowed to ride a bike on 208.

In LBI, finally
In LBI, finally

A few years later I got a motorcycle, and after a full summer of riding all over, I get hit by a car on my way to work. I broke my femur and had a rod placed in it, along with a broken jaw. After missing a semester of school and finally healin up, just about the only form of exercise I could do without pain was riding a bike. So I picked up a mt. bike and started riding again. Alot. Then I got a road bike, and rode that alot.

Then last summer I had the great idea of riding my bike down to Long Beach Island to spend the week with family. I bought a set of panniers and a rack, threw em on my mt. bike, and I rode. And rode. And rode. I probably should have spent some more time planning out my route, but nevertheless, I made it down. About 10 hours later. And 103 miles. And countless stops to look at google maps on my phone to try and get an idea of where the heck I was.

Which pretty much brings us up to date. I just graduated college in December, and instead of getting a job right away I decided to ride my bike across America. So beginning February 1st, from St. Augustine, FL, I will be making my way to San Diego, CA.

And that's my story. For now.
