Day 42: To Kerrville, Tx

Published on 2010-03-14 by Bryan Carbone

Sunday March 14, 2010, 25 miles (40 km) - Total so far: 1,740 miles (2,800 km)

We had planned on riding about 60 miles again today, but upon waking up, Mike and Ryan both felt like they might be catching the cold that I've been riding with ever since Sara left. We rode to the grocery store to get some breakfast, and I suggested maybe doing a short day, since everyone was feeling a bit under the weather. We had a quick little ride in Kerrville and are camping at the Kerrville-Shiener Park. We got here by 1, dropped all our gear at our site, then rode down by the river for a while. We all ended up jumping into the freezing cold water. It was a nice change from the long days of riding that we're used to.
