Day 38: To Buescher State Park

Published on 2010-03-10 by Bryan Carbone

Wednesday March 10, 2010, 56 miles (90 km) - Total so far: 1,540 miles (2,478 km)

Last night after dinner, Carol showed us her two Model A's, one from 1930 and a pickup from 1921. They were fully restored and just so cool. Then we headed up to our bunkhouse. It was a loft above a barn. This morning Carol made us waffles and coffee and supplied eggs for us to cook. It was great. We talked for awhile with her. Turns out she built her own house. She took a class to learn how, and actually went home and did it. And she also rides the MS150, which is from Houston to Austin, the one that everyone keeps thinking we're training for.

We took off after packing up our gear and just rode the hills for most of the day. Todd rode with us all day. It was very hot. We decided to camp out in the state park. Tomorrow we should be in Austin.
