2010 Bike MS Coast the Coast Ride
So the other day, I decided to sign up for another MS Bike Ride. I did one last October in NYC and had a lot of fun. This year I signed up for the Coast the Coast Ride. Here's the link to my donation page. I'll be riding 170 miles over two days, from Monmouth University to Cape May, on May 22/23. I'm thinking I should be in pretty good shape to complete the ride no problem, after carrying around camping gear, clothes, etc, for 3000+ miles. Anyway, my Aunt Chris is living with MS, so I'll be doing that ride for her, and anyone else that has, or had MS. If you know someone living with MS or someone that had MS, please donate, every little bit helps. Also, I've read of others having lots of luck with acts of hospitality while riding on the Southern Tier. So I'll be keeping track of all the free nights of camping/housing, free meals, drinks, anything that I would normally have to pay for, and at the end of my ride will be making a donation. So if you can't make a donation yourself, but have a nice big yard I could pitch a tent, or know someone who does, I will make a small donation in your name. Thanks for the support!
UPDATE: During my trip across the Southern Tier, we experienced so much hospitality and kindness. We had a former triathlete stop us on the side of the road, while he was taking his family on a day trip, to talk to us, give us crackers and apples, and just be awesome. We had a couple buy us a couple beers because it is a dream of theirs to ride across the country. We had numerous people open their homes to us and treat us like family. This weekend I will be riding in the MS "Coast the Coast" bike ride. I made a donation the other day in the name of everyone along the Southern Tier that offered us any kind of hospitality. Thank you all!
